In December 2011, the Assembly of State Parties met for more than 2 weeks at the UN headquarters in New York City in order
to elect the new Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Ms. Fatou Bensouda.
The Coalition for the International Criminal Court, a lobby for the Court, hired me to cover the Assembly.
I had the opportunity to meet numerous Ambassadors to the United Nations, the new Prosecutor, Ms. Fatou Bensouda, but also the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon.
